Dr Tristan Gilliland is a dedicated medical professional based in Western Australia, currently advancing his specialisation in Occupational Medicine.
With a foundation in both medicine and physiotherapy, Dr Gilliland brings a unique, holistic perspective to workplace health, combining clinical insight with a deep understanding of injury management and prevention.
He joined OSHGroup in 2024 to continue his specialist training and clinical practice in occupational medicine. His work encompasses a broad range of services, including medical assessments, fitness-for-work evaluations, and injury management, supporting clients across high-risk industries such as mining, oil and gas, and transportation.
Dr Gilliland’s clinical practice extends across OSHGroup’s Perth Airport and Perth CBD clinics, placing him in close collaboration with some of Western Australia’s key industrial and resource sectors. He also regularly consults on-site with clients across the state, ensuring timely, practical, and tailored occupational health solutions.
With strong involvement in the Rail Industry Worker (RIW) program, Dr Gilliland is an approved medical specialist for rail assessments, ensuring employees in safety-critical roles meet the necessary health and fitness standards. His expertise also includes musculoskeletal medicine, return-to-work coordination, and occupational injury prevention.
In addition to his clinical commitments, Dr Gilliland contributes to medical research, including co-authoring studies on acute surgical outcomes, reflecting a broad and evidence-based approach to his practice. His passion for improving health and safety outcomes drives his commitment to both individual patient care and system-wide workplace wellbeing initiatives.
